1.  Get a sufficient amount of sleep

Insomnia and sleep deprivation are two of the most common problems that people of all ages deal with, every day. It’s possible that you don’t even realize it because you think that you need to be as much time as possible awake during the day in order to get your jobs done and end up with some spare time for yourself. No one can argue that you get a good amount of happiness when you are reading your favorite book at night, you play with your kids or you get all your job tasks done by the end of the day. There is something, though, that argues with this happiness and it’s the huge bags under your eyes and that tired look on your face.

It is widely known that poor sleepers have increased signs of skin aging and slower recovery from many environmental stressors. You can actually hear experts say that sleep deprivation can age you by decades along with swiping years off your life. Studies performed by The American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the Sleep Research Society show that it is necessary for adults to get at least 7 to 8 hours a day during the night. Adequate sleep equals elastic and youthful skin, free of pimples and eye-bags. And it’s important that those hours are during night time because that is when the body actually rests, both mentally and physically.

So, a good piece of advice is that you try to get those critical hours of sleep as more consistently as possible. If you manage to do so you will see for yourself that you won’t be needing the mid-day nap that cuts your day in half. Αlso you will be a lot more energetic and productive during your awake time. Not to mention that you would look really fresh no matter what your age is!
